I'm so excited for this collab! I've been working with
Mayvenn Hair for almost 8 years now. I started my Mayvenn site as a hairstylist fresh out of beauty school. In fact, I was working a call center job right after my second child was born. At that time Mayvenn had only closures and bundles. Not frontals, not wigs, literally 4x4's and 3 textures. Look where they are today! My journey as a wig maker began with this brand. Can you believe I was a very short blonde during that time?! I couldn't do a sew in on myself like I did on everyone else. My love for wigs started right there! What a journey it has been. Not only do I and many of my clients still enjoy
Mayvenn Hair, but I'm also now a brand partner creating content for this awesome brand! This one is pretty special.
I will be showcasing a total of 6 looks in total with
Mayvenn Hair. From now until December you guys are getting all new looks, I can't wait to slayyy. All looks will be linked in this post, just keep checking in!
Let's Talk Hair
For my first look I wanted something simple but noticeably different. I've done the blonde piece in the front a few years ago and recently scrolling through the gram I found a gorgeous look. Now I think I was moving too fast because beyond the screenshot I couldn't find the original artist or the model. All I had was this screenshot:
Immediately I knew I would need a frontal for this. One thing I love about this look is the length. It's not too long or too short. It's perfect for anyone that wants longer hair without the crazy cost! I used 2 bundles for this wig. From my experience, Mayvenn bundles shorter than 22" come super thick. I knew I wouldn't need 3 and I was right! I also requested 1 #613 bundle for the next magical part. What you see is not just highlights, placement of those 613 pieces were very important. I sewed a total of four 613 pieces; 2 on both sides, 1 in the very front behind the frontal piece I highlighted blonde. And for a little more pop I wanted one in the very back bottom on one side to blend all the way through. I hope this all makes sense but that was my process. Very simple.
Have you ever tried
Shimmering Lights purple toning conditioner? It's perfect for eliminating brassiness/yellow from highlights. It works wonders and I used it here vs toning with color for a cooler blonde, which in my opinion gives the balayage I did with the frontal a caramel tone(peanut butter) vs cinnamon(orange).
